Trojan vs GMGN for Copy Trading: Fees, Speed, Safety (2026)

Trojan and GMGN are the two bots we recommend for copy trading, so Trojan vs GMGN is a question we owe you a straight answer on. Both charge 1% per trade and both copy wallets automatically on Solana. On our copy trading bots ranking they score almost the same overall, but they win on different things: GMGN is bigger, helps you find wallets and covers 14 chains; Trojan pays part of its fee back and has no confirmed hack. Below we compare fees, copy settings, speed and safety from each bot's own docs and our data of November 6, 2026, then say which one fits which trader.
Quick summary
- Both charge 1% per trade. Trojan pays part of it back: 20% on its Telegram bot, 10% to 35% by rank on its web Terminal. GMGN has no cashback.
- GMGN is better at finding wallets: its CopyTrade page ranks wallets by PnL and win rate, with a Copy button on every row.
- Trojan has no confirmed hack. GMGN users were hit by phishing in October 2025 and refunded in full.
- Our pick: GMGN to find wallets and to trade beyond Solana, Trojan to copy on Solana for less. You can also use both.

Fees: what you actually pay
Both list 1%, and on both the network costs come on top: the priority fee, the anti-MEV tip and about 0.002 SOL the first time you hold a token (you get it back when you sell out). The difference is what comes back to you.
- GMGN charges "only a 1% handling fee for a single transaction, and there are no additional charges", in its own words. There is no cashback on regular trades.
- Trojan charges 1% per successful trade, so a failed trade costs no bot fee, and pays cashback in SOL. On the Telegram bot every user gets 20% of the fee back. On the web Terminal the rate follows your Arena rank: Degen 10%, Warrior 15%, Gladiator 20%, Commander 25%, Titan 35%. You climb by earning Gold from trading volume, daily streaks and quests. Trojan's Arena page also mentions up to 45% with quests; we only count the rank table.

On a copy trade of 1 SOL in and 1 SOL out, the bot keeps:
| Where you trade | Bot fee after cashback |
|---|---|
| GMGN | 0.020 SOL (1%) |
| Trojan Terminal, Degen rank | 0.018 SOL (0.9%) |
| Trojan Telegram bot | 0.016 SOL (0.8%) |
| Trojan Terminal, Titan rank | 0.013 SOL (0.65%) |
For most copy traders the bigger cost is gas, not the bot fee. GMGN's copy trade docs warn that copying a wallet that trades a lot "may quickly consume your SOL balance", and that many users whose copies made a profit still lost money because their priority fee was too high. They suggest 0.002–0.006 SOL when you don't need top speed. On Trojan's Telegram bot the Turbo preset is 0.0075 SOL per transaction, paid even when the trade fails: on a 0.1 SOL copy, a Turbo buy and a Turbo sell already cost 15% of the trade. Size your trades so the fixed costs stay small; our breakdown of Solana copy trading fees does the math.
Copy trading setup, side by side
The settings line up closely. Here they are with the names you will see on screen:
| Trojan (Terminal) | GMGN (web) | |
|---|---|---|
| Start | Tools → Copy Trading → + New Copy Trade | CopyTrade → Rank → Copy, or Create Wallet Copy |
| Buy size | Buy Amount: a % of their buy or fixed SOL | Max Buy Amount, Fixed Buy or Fixed Ratio |
| Sells | Copy Sell, or Auto Sell with TP/SL | Copy Sell, Not Sell, or Adv Strategy (TP/SL in steps) |
| Filters | Market Cap range, Minimum Liquidity, Max Spend Per Buy, Exclude Launchpad Platforms, Prevent Duplicate Buys | Market cap, liquidity, token age, pool burnt ratio, min and max copy amount, buys per token, platforms, blacklist |
| Speed | Priority Fee, Bribe, Slippage, MEV Protection, separately for buys and sells | Priority fee, Anti-MEV, slippage, Lightning Mode |
| Limits | Can't copy wallets that buy through custom programs | Up to 10 copy tasks; a task pauses after 3 failed copies in a row |
On Trojan's Telegram bot the flow is Copy Trade → + New: a Tag, the Target Wallet, a Buy Percentage or fixed amount, then Copy Sells or your Auto Sell profile. Its Advanced Features go further than the Terminal: Max Buy Amount, Duplicate Buys, Only Renounced, Exclude PumpFun Tokens, liquidity and market cap limits, Min Buy, Blacklist and Retries. The bot has to be in Advanced Mode, or copy trading stays hidden.
Two limits to know before you pick a wallet. Trojan can't copy wallets that buy through a custom program: you would only copy their sells. Its docs show how to check: open one of their buys on Solscan in legacy mode, and if it shows "Interact with System Program", that wallet can't be copied. And GMGN's copy trade docs list Solana only (its app guide also lists BNB Chain), so for copying, its 14 chains matter less than they seem.
Finding wallets to copy: GMGN's edge
A copy bot is only as good as the wallet you copy, and this is where the two differ most.
GMGN puts a wallet leaderboard next to the copy button. The CopyTrade Rank tab sorts wallets by PnL, win rate, number of trades and volume over 1, 7 or 30 days, with filters for Smart Money, KOL, Sniper, fresh wallets and top devs. The Monitor page shows which tokens smart money wallets are buying, and Track alerts you every time a wallet you follow trades.
Trojan gives you tools to check a wallet, not a list of wallets. Its Wallet Analyzer shows realized and unrealized PnL, win rate and whether the profit came from one big trade or many, with a Copy Trade button. Its own FAQ says good wallets "are highly valued and rarely shared publicly": you find candidates yourself, among the top traders and holders of tokens that ran.
A high spot on a leaderboard is not a reason to copy. Look at 30-day numbers rather than 1-day, skip snipers (you land blocks after them and buy their top), and check that the wallet still wins after fees at your trade size. Our guide to finding smart money wallets worth copying has the full checklist.
Speed: what we can and can't tell you
Neither bot publishes a copy delay we could verify, and we have not run a side-by-side latency test, so we won't name a winner. What the docs do say:
- GMGN has a Lightning Mode that, in its docs' words, makes copies "about 2s" faster with the same settings. The catch: it acts on transactions that are not confirmed yet. If the chain rolls back, you can copy a trade that never lands for the target, and in extreme cases a trade can run twice. GMGN retries a failed copy 1 to 3 times depending on the error, and pauses the task after 3 failures in a row until you restart it.
- Trojan leaves speed to your fees. It recommends the Turbo priority fee (0.0075 SOL) or higher, plus more slippage, when you copy a wallet many others copy, and the Telegram bot has a Retries setting for failed copies. Trojan also runs backup bots that share your wallets and settings, to spread the load when traffic is high.
On both, three things decide speed more than the bot: your priority fee, how many people copy the same wallet, and whether the wallet can be copied cleanly at all. To compare for yourself, copy one wallet with a small amount on each bot for 20–30 trades, then look up each pair on Solscan: the same block as the target is good, one block behind is fine, three or more behind on new tokens means you are buying someone else's top. We explain where the seconds go in where copy trade speed is actually lost.
Safety record
Trojan: no confirmed hack when we checked on November 6, 2026, which is why it gets 9 out of 10 for security on our page. Use only the bots listed at trojanonsolana.com/links (the main one is @solana_trojanbot). On the Telegram bot, set a Secure Action Password so withdrawals and key exports need a password, and turn on Sell Protection.
GMGN: in October 2025, GMGN users were hit by phishing through a third-party token page, and GMGN refunded them in full. That is 7 out of 10 on our scale, the score we give a fully refunded incident. You log in to GMGN through Telegram, so turn on Telegram's two-step verification, and only open gmgn.ai.
On both, the bot signs trades for you, so treat its wallet as a hot wallet: keep only what you trade with this week and withdraw profits on a schedule. Our 10 rules to keep your wallet safe apply to both.
Our scores, criterion by criterion
We score every bot the same way: six criteria from 0 to 10, weighted volume 25%, security 25%, referral 15%, copy trading 15%, age 10% and fees 10%.

| Criterion (weight) | Trojan | GMGN | What decides it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Volume (25%) | 6 | 10 | GMGN trades more than 10 times Trojan's daily volume (DefiLlama) |
| Security (25%) | 9 | 7 | Clean record vs phishing, fully refunded |
| Referral (15%) | 7 | 4 | 27.5–47.5% vs 10% to start |
| Copy trading (15%) | 10 | 10 | Built in on both |
| Age (10%) | 8 | 9 | January 2024 vs 2023 |
| Fees (10%) | 8 | 7 | 0.9% after the smallest cashback vs 1% |
| Total | 7.90 | 7.95 |
GMGN's lead comes from size and age; Trojan's from safety, referral and net cost. Which of those weighs more for you is the real question.
Trojan or GMGN: who should pick which
Pick GMGN if:
- You don't have wallets to copy yet. The Rank tab and smart money labels make it the better wallet finder.
- You also trade outside Solana: BNB Chain, Base, Robinhood Chain and 10 more chains from one account.
- You want a phone app. GMGN's is on the App Store and Google Play.
Pick Trojan if:
- You copy on Solana and already know which wallets to copy.
- You want to pay less: 0.8% net on the Telegram bot, 0.9% down to 0.65% on the Terminal, against GMGN's 1%.
- A clean security record matters most to you.
- You like trading in Telegram, where Trojan's copy trade has the most filters.
- You bring in other traders: Trojan shares 27.5–47.5% of their fees, GMGN 10% unless you apply for more.
Or use both. Find wallets on GMGN's Rank tab (look at 7 and 30 days), check them, then paste the address into Trojan's copy trade. Make sure on Solscan that the wallet doesn't buy through a custom program, and keep each bot wallet small: two bots means two hot wallets.
Start small either way: 1–2 SOL, one wallet, a capped buy size, for a week. If your entries keep landing several blocks behind, or fees eat a third of the profit, change the wallet or the settings before you add money. Our guide on why you lose copying a winning wallet covers what usually goes wrong.
FAQ
Is Trojan or GMGN better for copy trading?
Neither wins everything. GMGN is better for finding wallets and for trading on many chains; Trojan costs less after cashback and has the cleaner security record. For the copying itself they are level: both get 10 out of 10 for copy trading on our page.
Which is cheaper, Trojan or GMGN?
Trojan. Both charge 1%, but Trojan pays cashback: 20% on its Telegram bot (0.8% net) and 10% to 35% by Arena rank on its Terminal (0.9% to 0.65% net). GMGN stays at 1%. Network fees are the same on both and are often the bigger cost on small trades.
Can I copy trade on BNB Chain with GMGN?
GMGN's copy trade docs say wallet copying runs on Solana only, while its app guide also lists BNB Chain. Check the chain picker on the CopyTrade page before you plan around it. Trojan is Solana only.
Has Trojan or GMGN been hacked?
We found no confirmed hack of Trojan. GMGN users were hit by phishing through a third-party token page in October 2025, and GMGN refunded them in full. Fake sites and fake Telegram bots are a real risk with both: open them only from official links.
Can I find wallets on GMGN and copy them on Trojan?
Yes. Wallet addresses are public, so a wallet you find on GMGN can be copied on any bot. Paste it as the Target Address on Trojan's Terminal or the Target Wallet on its Telegram bot.
Key takeaway
GMGN is the bigger platform: a wallet leaderboard, 14 chains and a phone app. Trojan is the cheaper and cleaner choice on Solana: cashback of up to 35% and no confirmed hack. Still looking for wallets? Start on GMGN. Already have them? Copy on Trojan.
